Jane’s Walk Aquidneck Island for all
May 2 + 3 ,2026
Jane’s Walk is a movement of free, neighbor-led walking conversations inspired by Jane Jacobs. Anybody can lead a Jane’s Walk. The festival encourages people to share stories about their neighborhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and use walking as a way to connect with their neighbors.
All walks are designed and led by community members and are free to join. We’ve got a wide array of walks that explore communities and topics across the Island.

Our 2025 Festival expanded to walks across Aquidneck Island and took us on walks that explored personal and communal pasts while inviting participants to grapple with rapidly-changing futures.
Our inaugural 2024 Jane’s Walk Festival Aquidneck was a weekend of walks exploring a range of topics concerning our community led by our neighbors. All walks were free of charge and open to anyone.
