Explore Green End's Green Spaces
Sunday May 4, 2pm-3:15pm
Since childhood, I've loved discovering shared and green spaces of this island. We passed by various farmland at the top of the hill near Sweet Berry Farm. We saw a flock of turkeys, heard some cows — you went in knowing you can never KNOW. Depending on the weather, we were encouraged to bring some mud shoes or boots!
Organized and led by Ben Sargeant
Returning from one Hero's Journey to begin another, Ben returned to Aquidneck Island with his family in 2020. He is a copywriter and co-owner of Leap_year branding studio.
Walk Reflections
Ben took us to more green spaces than we could count! We saw a pony, farms, an edible forest, parks, and the river. We talked about how Middletown is full of places to explore and what it was like for Ben to be a young person growing up there longing for mountains — and then returning as an adult re-encountering these familiar places.
The biggest surprise: definitely the pony!
